The Situation

The drop-out rates and achievement gap in this country continue to be a drag on our economy and leave too many young people stranded and disconnected, unable to support themselves and realize their potential.

While there are significant resources and efforts underway to address this issue from the educational standpoint, we are taking a broader, more collaborative approach to solving these problems.

The Approach

Monster Public Sector & Education has partnered with other providers to offer a suite of solutions that enable regions to “Create the High‐Performance Workforce.” In particular, these solutions enable regional stakeholders to foster greater alignment and collaboration among educators, talent development organizations, employers, and other stakeholders to drive regional and national economic growth strategies.

The purpose of iSucceed is to enable young people to identify and explore relevant educational pathways and prepare for achievable career opportunities. We enable them to envision their future, and create and execute a plan to achieve their dreams.

iSucceed creates an information ecosystem that offers continuous learning – both online and in-person – in schools, at home, and in the community. This approach builds on specific strategies:

  • Student engagement
  • Parental involvement in student success
  • Community involvement in every child’s success

The Solution

iSucceed delivers an integrated system of support for participating students, including mentors, leadership training, networking events, and career exploration, and is linked together through community portals and other online resources.

The program is designed as a multi-year student engagement strategy providing preventative or prescriptive interventions.  Students begin at the middle school level and persist through appropriate post-secondary options. The program includes:

  • an ongoing series of live workshops, in which students participate in relevant career and educational skill-building while exploring their options
  • opportunities to develop and practice leadership  and other important soft skills
  • safe online career development and college prep mentoring with professionals working in each student’s chosen fields
  • facilitated networking opportunities with regional employers to build social capital and provide access to internships and summer jobs
  • orientation and ongoing workshops for parents to participate in their child’s educational and career planning
  • professional development for educators to create alignment, context, and relevance between academic requirements and post-secondary preparation
  • a portal offering ‘applied social networking’ among stakeholders in each region,  providing timely information about regional career paths and in-demand skills, and opportunities for PR

At the most fundamental level, iSucceed facilitates and guides each student as they build a personalized pathway to success through education and participation in the world around them.

iSucceed yields significant benefits to the students and other stakeholders:

Program Outcomes and Benefits

The integrated and self-reinforcing nature of the iSucceed program provides an ongoing series of victories and a strong sense of progress for participants, and the community within which they live and learn. By creating a unified community of supporters for our students, we can deliver on the goals and empower them to make informed and appropriate decisions about their future.

The program’s success is predicated on the involvement of parents and community and business members, all of whom have a stake in the outcomes for these young people.  We provide ongoing communication and opportunities to support the program while learning and growing together. This strengthens the community and builds lasting, positive relationships.
