Despite the fact that the ailing American economy is showing signs of recovery from the recent recession, America’s unemployment rate remains high and has yet to begin to fully recover.
In an effort to help America’s workforce get employed, the US Department of Labor has launched a program to highlight tools available to help job seekers get back to work. The program is called “Tools for America’s Job Seekers Challenge” and is designed to help job seekers find the solutions available to help better position themselves in the workforce as the economy begins to recover.
In an effort to make the most helpful on-line job search and career advancement tools stand out to the job hunting community, visitors to the site are allowed to vote for those that they find most useful.
The US Department of Labor will publish the highest ranking tools on their Web sites and encourage the nationwide network of One-Stop Career Centers to make them available to the more than 20 million job seekers they serve each year.
Monster powers many of the tools listed in the challenge, including job boards such as Military.com. We encourage you to visit the site, register, and vote for the tools you know help provide America’s job seekers with the edge they need to find their next position. We also encourage you to explore the many Monster-powered tools available to connect job seekers with the careers they’re looking for.
